PCB Sensory Support Services launched in 2010 in response to organisations enquiries to provide their staff with personal and tailored courses and interpreter services that would give their staff great skills to work with the deaf community whether they are staff or clients using their organisations services.
PCB's Sensory Support Services provides British Sign Language (BSL) expert trainers, tutors and interpreters to organisations to provide their staff with personal and tailored courses that will give their staff greater skills to work with the deaf community whether they are staff or clients using their organisations services.
Our BSL Trainers and Tutors work with both large and small organisations, providing Deaf Awareness and a choice of Introduction to Sign Language courses.
Our Interpreters are all qualified and will be registered with the appropriate regulatory body.
Many people will be surprised to learn that 1 in 7 people have some level of hearing loss, ranging from mild to profound. This equates to approximately 9 million UK residents, of which 60,000 are BSL users and statistics show that only 3.4 million D/deaf people are in employment at present.
Just learning a small amount of signing will mean you comply with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA). All our sessions are highly interactive and designed specifically so that participants learn BSL fundamentals quickly and memorably.
